Great variety that produced huge thick carrots, and that’s with me neglecting the crop! Was planted in fairly heavy soil that retains rainwater too! before sowing 2 inch of homemade compost on the surface was all the food these got, so was super impressed they did so well.

Super happy. They've sprouted already and the true leaves have grown on them. Couldn't be happier!

Hi, I want to buy Autumn King carrots for an outdoor raised bed. The bed is about 6 mt long and i'll get in about 4 or 5 drills (so 25 to 30 metres of carrots. My question is how much seed will i need? If you could give me an idea of seeds per metre/foot, sprinkling fairly liberally and thinning out later. Thanks

Hi James There are 500 seeds per pack so if it was me with a 6m run i would put one pack per run. It sounds excessive but it will ensure you get good germination levels and you can thin out after that Niall Quickcrop

Hi Ann This is a hardier carrot so more suited to outdoors. For a polytunnel i tend to stick to Starca or Nantes Niall Quickcrop
