We suffer badly from carrot fly so these were grown in a large pot, off the ground in the green house: very successful.

great seed,100 percent germination, set the in the tunnel at the end of febuary in containers, this area is bad for carrot root fly so I've to planting to harvest before the fly comes and this seed is perfect for that.

If I were to sow these in your carrot planters outside what would be the best time of year to sow? And would you recommend sowing to fill both planters at the same time?

Hi Elizabeth To be honest it depends a bit where you are located. West of Ireland i would leave it until the first week in May. South of England you can go first week in April. I would stagger the planting and do one lot and follow on with the others 3/4 weeks later Niall Quickcrop

Hi Aoife I plant early Nantes in my tunnel for overwintering carrots in August and then sow again in March. I am not sure why it is showing January as this is to early for sowing carrots Niall Quickcrop
