Description
Utab is a bolt resistant early maturing variety of celery that produces strong upright stalks. They have an attractive green colour which turns to white towards the base, and a crisp, clean and juicy flavour. This celery is a hybrid variety and is easier to grow than other varieties, if you have had trouble growing celery in the past then this is the one to go for. This reliable variety is also self blanching.

Sowing & Spacing:
Sow from late March up until early may by sprinkling the seeds onto a small pot full of good quality seed compost and then propagate. 3 or 4 weeks later the seedlings will be ready to prick out. Transfer to a modular tray sowing one seedling per module. Plant out 8 weeks after sowing.
Space plants approximately 27cm apart, with the same distance between rows.
