What green apple can this Jonagold be paired with?
Answered by Niall

Hi Jackie I can't find any Green apples that it will pollinate with in our range. The best pollinator for the Jonagold is the Spartan or crabapple but neither are green i am afraid Niall Quickcrop

Hi,I have two jonagold trees that successfully pollinate but read you should really pollinate with a different variety. Can you please recommend another variety tree that does not mind semi shade and will not grow big? I believe only certain types of Apple trees can pollinate with a jonagold? Thanks

H Eric. Personally I am a big fan of 'Discovery' which is a crisp and fresh apple. I have one in semi shade and it does quite well. As regards size it depends on the rootstock you get rather than the variety, I would recommend an M9. I hope this helps. Andrew
