Description
A leafy plant good for ground cover with long lasting soft pink/brick red spikes and slim mid green leaves which turn red in Autumn. RHS award of garden merit.

 Soil type: Prefers reliably moist but not waterlogged soils

 Flowers - Astrantia ‘Roma’ (masterwort), Eryngium x tripartite (sea holly).
 Grasses - Deschampsia cespitosa ‘Goldtau’ (tufted hair grass).
Care of Persicaria affinis Darjeeling Red
 A low maintenance plant that will benefit from the occasional haircut after flowering but otherwise can be left alone. Clumps can be divided and re-planted in spring or autumn and will re-establish easily.
