    Good quality handle

    A good quality hickory handle. The wood was a tiny bit rough and unfinished so it only needed a little sanding and some oil. Although it is made to fit one of the Chillington hoes, I bought it for a different tool, so it would have been helpful if the exact dimensions were stated on the website rather than just colour coded indicators. I had to go by the pictures and probably could have gone one size up. Otherwise a good buy and reasonably priced. Ordering is simple and it arrived quickly.

    End into which the head of the hoe fitted could have been a bit wider so was loose. But i got it to fit, otherwise ok

    We have never actually broken a handle, but we have found the longer hanle is better for us on everything save the heavy fork (which is excellent for transplanting heavy shrubs and root ball removal). We only us the short handle on large raised beds.

    Overall a very good product. The fit wasn't quite as snug with the replacement, but managed to get a good fit in the end. All's well and didn't cost the earth.
