A very popular native of Mexico, sedum rubrotinctum has round fleshy leaves arranged in a spiral around the stems. The jelly bean leaves vary between a light creamy green and pink with the brightest colouring achieved from keeping the plant in full sun. Over time, the jelly bean plant will spill over the sides of containers.
This variety is one of the easiest to grow from cuttings. Take cuttings in spring or summer, let the cutting dry out and form a callous on the cut before planting in damp free draining sandy compost in a small pot.
