Description
These non toxic pellets form a dual action barrier to stop slugs and snails from feeding on your crops. With Slug Stop pellets you create a ring around the plants you want to protect rather than scatter the granules.
Granules form a physical rough barrier; they are super absorbent and suck slime and mucous off the slugs. This suppresses feeding.
A barrier of pellets can be used around pots, tubs, baskets, containers, beds, borders and vegetable patches.
These pellets comply with the OF & G Standards (EC regulation) and are approved for use in Organic systems.
It is recommended by the makers to incorporate the pellets into the soil as they biodegrade.
You can use the product in 3 different ways:
- Place heaps of granules directly around the base of your plant approx 1" deep. Use right up to the stem as this will prevent eggs hatching inside the barrier.
- Place a ring of granules around a group of plants. We also recommend the use of a slug trap with this method to clear any new slugs from inside the barrier.
- Slug Stoppa can also be used as a complete cover or mulch for window boxes or other small and contained planting areas.
