Description
A very reliable variety with large blue-green heads which are slow to run to seed. Good disease resistance and does well on almost any soil type.
Marathon has a long cropping season, with numerous side shoots produced after the main head is cut.
Sow: from mid Feb undercover to June.
Germination temp: 18-20˚C.
Germination time: 7 to 10 days.
Sowing depth: 1.5 cm.
Spacing: 40 cm x 40 cm.
Situation: Grow in full sun in fertile, moisture retentive soil.
