Description
This fresh Coriander plant has been grown in our nursery for 8-10 weeks and is well established. It comes in a P9 pot ready to pot on or plant out in a herb garden. A P9 pot is a 9cm diameter pot regularly used by horticulturists.
Coriander is an annual plant and will die after seeding. Succession planting will ensure you have a constant supply of coriander throughout the year. Place in full sun to partial shade and keep soil moist. Coriander tends to bolt if it gets too dry or too hot. You can plant outdoors from April up to September. Harvest often to encourage more growth. If growth slows use a liquid seaweed feed.
Grown mostly for its leaves, the seeds are also edible. The leaves have a warm, mild spice flavour (although 20% of people think it tastes like soap), and the seeds are nutty, slightly-peppery. Used in Mexican cuisine and in curries.
