Also known as the 'Sliver Jade Tree', Crassula arborescens has characteristic silver grey/green fleshly leaves with a red tinge to the edges. Beautiful as a miniature but can also be grown to a full size house plant or shrub.
Crassula arborescens or Silver Jade Tree is a stunning succulent plant with fleshy silver/grey leaves often tinged with red. Silver Jade Tree can be grown to small tree size in a large pot if desired or can be regularly pruned to keep small and manageable. Crassula arborescens is a great choice for beginners, like all succulents it will need a well drained soil, reasonable sunlight and protection from frost but it is relatively trouble free. Care must be taken not to over water but again, this is common to all succulent plants.
Jade cuttings are easily propagated by stem cuttings which will readily re-root in suitable compost. Depending on growing conditions, Silver Jade may produce clusters of pretty white star shaped flowers that turn pink as the blossoms mature.
