This 5-piece self-watering seed growing kit from Garland Products provides a reliable supply of irrigation for your fledgling seeds or seedlings. An internal water reservoir can supply water for up to 10 days once it's been topped up. Above the reservoir is a raised platform, which itself is covered with a capillary matting. This matting lies inbetween the platform and the 12 cell seed tray, which is also placed on the platform. The capillary matting draws moisture upwards through a wicking action. The seed tray is injection moulded for long life, and can be easily sterilised in a dishwasher. The inner platform can be reversed to make seedling removal easier. To top the kit off, a clear cover holds in heat and moisture.
The Garland Seed Success Kit is ideal for windowsills or other indoor areas. Each of the growing cells measures 5cm x 4.7cm x 5.8cm deep and has a capacity of 0.1 litres. With the exception of the capillary matting and the clear covers, the unit is made from recycled plastic. The growing tray can be re-used year after year.
