Description
The 'Fathead' variety of lavender is an aromatic plant that produces distinctive, large flower heads. We grow these in our nursery and ship them as well established plants. The plant produces stunning butterfly-like flowers that bloom from May to July. It is grown mostly for its ornamental value and isn't generally grown for essential oil production like more common lavender varieties.
This is generally easy to grow but does need heat and full sun and doesn't like overly wet conditions. It makes a great patio/container plant.
This plant comes in a P9 pot and is ready to plant out. P9 pots are 9cm in diameter and are commonly used by professional horticulturists.
It can also be purchased as part of our 'choose your own' herb products at a reduced price (see recommended products below).
