Description
The small leaved lime is medium sized deciduous tree with a dense habit and a broad crown. It makes a very attractive specimen tree with its glossy dark-green heart shaped leaves and it's creamy white scented flowers which appear in June. The flowers are also very attractive to bees and produce a very good honey which makes the lime an important pollinator friendly plant.
Avoid planting near an area where cars are to be parked as the tree will drip sticky honeydew onto the paintwork which is time consuming to wash off.
