Description
This nest box is made from a durable, sustainable material using wood fibre and concrete. Suitable for common songbirds including tits, pied flycatchers and more. The galvanised steel wire hanger makes it easy to hang and the ribs on the back ensure a stable, secure suspension.
The built in marten protection helps prevent predation. This is built into the removable front panel which also makes cleaning much easier.
Installation:
Hang at a height of at least 2m and keep out of direct sunlight and heavy rain. Also avoid overly exposed areas and keep away from bird feeders as other birds could disturb the nest during nesting season.
Cleaning:
Clean after brood has fully fledged or alternatively wait for the first frost. The front panel can be easily removed to allow access to the interior. Clean using a mild disinfectant and warm soapy water. Regular cleaning boosts the chance of reuse the following season.
