Description
A durable nest box made from wood fibre and concrete. It is suitable for cavity nesting birds such as sparrows, tits, flycatchers and redstarts.
A pine marten guard is inserted to the front panel, preventing predation. Easy to hang and suitable for facades and trees. The front panel can be easily removed for cleaning purposes.
Installation:
Hang at least 2m above the ground to prevent predators getting to the nest. Avoid direct sunlight and heavy rain. Ideally choose a quiet location.
Cleaning:
Clean after young birds have fledges. Alternatively wait until the first frost to do so. Use a mild disinfectant and warm soapy water. Regular cleaning improves the chances of a new brood next season.
