Description
A tall grass with both stems and seed heads standing upright providing a good contrast with umbellifers or harmony with other tall plants like Verbena bonariensis. Seed heads are soft, light and fluffy and look beautiful planted in drifts which sway and ripple in the lightest breeze.

Flowers - Sedum ‘Matrona’ (ice plant), Verbena bonariensis, Verbena macdougalii ‘Lavender Spires’
Grasses - Sesleria autumnalis (autumn moor grass)
Care of Pennisetum alopecuroides
Cut back hard in spring to remove previous years growth. Mulching around roots in winter will help protect in cold winters.
