Description
Pink Duke of York is a heritage potato variety that dates back to the 19th century in Aberdeenshire. Expect oval shaped tubers with blush pink skin and light yellow, floury flesh.
This is a versatile first early potato that can be harvested young as tasty new potatoes or left to grow to maturity (10-12 weeks). The tubers have great flavour and can be boiled, sautéed, steamed or added to salads. Shallow eyes mean that they are quite easy to peel, too.
They are not the most disease resistant variety compared to some others, but aside from that they are very reliable and speedy croppers.
