Description
This evergreen plant produces green, needle-like leaves and blue-lavender coloured flowers that bloom from April to July. Grown in our nursery, this herb plant is well established. The flowers are great at attracting pollinators to your garden. A member of the sage family, it can handle tough conditions but requires well draining soil and full sun. It requires minimal maintenance and is deer resistant. You should allow 2-3 years before harvesting and only take a maximum of 20%. It can grow quite tall (up to 2 metres).
Used in many dishes especially: stuffing, stews and roasts. The woody stems can also be used as a skewer. It also has many other uses including soaps, perfumes and aromatherapy.
This plant comes in a P9 pot and is ready to plant out. P9 pots are 9cm in diameter and are commonly used by professional horticulturists.
It can also be purchased as part of our 'choose your own' herb products at a reduced price (see recommended products below).
