This Thyme plant has been grown in our nursery and is well established. It was grown last year to make sure it is a strong healthy plant.
Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) is a bushy, woody, evergreen plant that produces aromatic grey-green leaves. It produces pink flowers in early summer (May-July). It grows to a height of 30cm and is often used as ground cover.
Spicier than oregano and sweeter than sage it is used in a wide range of dishes including stews, soups and sauces. Also used as part of a bouquet garni or in Herbs de Provence.
This plant comes in a P9 pot and is ready to plant out. P9 pots are 9cm in diameter and are commonly used by professional horticulturists.
It can also be purchased as part of our 'choose your own' herb products at a reduced price (see recommended products below).
