Description
This seed tin contains 8 carefully selected seed packs of our favourite Cosmos varieties. Bring a wave of colour to your garden with these unique and interesting variants. Cosmos are relatively easy to grow and require little maintenance. They will provide colour in your garden into the autumn.
Packs included:
- Apricot Lemonade -A bushy, half-hardy, annual with pale orange petals with flushed pink towards the golden yellow centre
- Cupcakes White -Provides unique cup-shaped white blooms for a distinctive garden display
- Cupcakes Blush -Delicate, soft pink, semi-double blooms with a unique cup shape
- Fizzy Rose -Semi-double blooms with white petals stained and edged in a pink-purple colour
- Antiquity - A bushy, half-hardy, annual with daisy-like crimson to burgundy flowers that fade into a reddish-pink colour as they age
- Xanthos - Beautiful lemon-yellow blooms that fade to white at the edges, perfect for adding a soft touch to any garden
- Crest Orange - Vibrant orange flowers bring a cheerful pop of colour to your garden
- Apricotta - Unique apricot, peach, and rose flowers with an iridescent glow, fading to cream with a yellow eye
Sowing
- Directly sow in late Spring after last frost
- Or alternatively sow indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost
- Sowing distance: 30cm apart
- Sowing depth: 1cm - 2cm
Deadheading
- Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
- Cut back to the first leaf below the flower head.
Harvesting/Cutting
- Harvest when buds are coloured but not open. This prolongs their vase life and protects them from insects.
- When cutting in summer, trim down about a third of the plant to encourage an autumn display.
