How do peanuts nourish our wild birds?
- These unsalted raw peanuts are high in fat, calories and protein which provides them with the energy birds need in winter.
- This dense calorie source is especially great for smaller birds which need to develop energy quickly. The protein promotes muscle strength and feather growth.
- Avoid using whole peanuts in Spring/Summer as they may be a choking hazard for chicks.
For a typical mesh feeder a 5kg tub will last about 100 days of light use, 50 days of moderate use, and 25 days of heavy use (rural setting with many visitors).
