Description
This deciduous shrub will produce oval green leaves and clusters of creamy white flowers in spring. Good autumn colour from the foliage, as the foliage drops the bright green gold stems are revealed in winter. This woody shrub is best planted in groups to create dramatic effect or paired with ‘Cornus alba ‘Sibirica’ with its bright red winter stems.
Dogwood creates a dense hedge when planted on it's own or can be incorporated into an informal hedge to add winter colour.
Cut back hard in February March in year three from planting, this will re invigorate the plant encouraging it to produce bright new stems.
