PolyTunnel Cloche For Plant Protection From Cold & Pests

These Easy Polytunnel cloches (or row covers) make vegetable gardening so easy. What I really like about them is the hoops are actually stitched into the polycover making it so easy to put out and move around when you need to. They are perfect for insulating your crops thereby extending the Irish growing season. This type of polytunnel cloche is the ideal size for protecting plants.

Made from a 150 micron tough UV stabilised polythene. The cover forms a barrier which retains warmth and humidity while protecting your crops from harsh weather, frost and pests. Also perfect for warming the soil before planting out. Great for getting plants started in the spring or ripening ground fruit like strawberries.

Can you grow tomatoes in the polytunnel cloche?

Thank you for your question David. You could grow tumbling Tomatoes but not the standard ones that grow to 5/6ft. For this you could buy one of the Growhouses which are a taller unit.

How do you secure the cloche? My garden is in a windy spot and previous efforts have resulted in the cloche blowing away. Thanks

Hi Teresa. The ends of the cloche hoops are longer than the cloche so stick into the ground. They actually fix very securely especially if you splay them apart slightly so they go in at an angle.
