Description
A very popular potato here in Ireland due to its lovely dry and floury nature - although it was first introduced in Scotland.
The tubers are normally short and oval, with slightly deep eyes and creamy flesh. They are irregularly shaped, and the skin is tinged with pink.
Kerr's Pink potatoes are traditionally boiled or steamed with their skin intact, as this retains extra nutrients. Be careful not to leave them boiling too long as they can fall apart past a certain point.
Moderate yields; susceptible to blight.
