Little Gem is a very popular variety of Cos Lettuce or Romaine Lettuce. It has a buttery texture and lovely sweet flavour. It produces compact lettuces with a crunchy heart and is bolt resistant. An early maturing variety. Its smaller size make it ideal for container growing or smaller urban gardens.
Sowing & Spacing:
Sow every 2 weeks from late March to July for a continuous crop. Sow each seed into an individual module and plant out after about 4 weeks, leave seeds uncovered.
Space plants 20cm (7.87in) apart, with 25cm (9.8in) spacing between rows.
