Description
Living Green Wormcast Compost is excellent for planting out young seedlings and encouraging root growth, giving new plants a very noticeable head start over ordinary compost. It is rich in humus and readily available plant nutrients, so is also perfect as a supercharged multipurpose compost. You simply won't believe the results you get from this stuff!
Wormcast compost is a powerhouse of nutrients, packed with essential elements like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. These nutrients are in a form readily available to plants, ensuring rapid uptake and promoting lush, healthy growth.
This organic compost helps plants build a more extensive root system, making them stronger and better able to withstand attack from pests and diseases. Your plants will also cope with drought far better than plants with less extensive root systems.
Wormcast enriched compost also enhances soil structure and boosts water retention.
For Gardens: Mix with topsoil or use as a mulch around plants
For Potted Plants: Blend into potting mix or apply as a top dressing.
For Seedlings: Incorporate into soil for strong, healthy growth.
For Lawns: Spread evenly for lush, green grass.
Living Green came to the market in 2013 to the delight of organic growers everywhere, here's a little history about the compost:
"Living Green organic compost is created on a commercial worm farm in Innishowen, Co.Donegal. A whopping 17,000kg of worms convert their peat-based bedding material, potato scraps and a high protein organic feed into this rich compost.
As the worms digest and process their bedding material, their digestive tract coats the material's particles in enzymes that allow the plants to absorb nutrients from the compost easier - resulting in vigorous root growth and ultimately stronger and healthier plants.
Approved across the board in a number of trials by the Northern Ireland department of agriculture, this compost has since gone on to be certified by the Organic Trust."
