Traditional Vigo Fruit Presses
This spindle fruit press from Vigo presses is made from high quality stainless steel and sustainable oak timber. It can be used to make approximately 10 litres of fruit or vegetable juice an hour. This fruit press is based on Vigo's classic spindle press design, the base plate, legs and hoops are made from stainless steel and the pressing cage is made from oak. The spindle press can hold up to 11kg (24lbs) of crushed fruit at a time, this amount will easily make up to 4.5 Litres (8 pints) of home made juice. It can be used to press apples, oranges, pears, grapes, berries and much more. Any of our fruit crushers can be used with this press.
The spindle press is a traditional basket press, they have been carefully designed by Vigo to last a lifetime of fruit pressing. Made from the highest quality materials, each press is beautifully designed and will give the highest yield possible. Ideal for a home or professional setting. We also have a cast iron version of this with the smaller 9 litre capacity.
Easy To Use
Fill the oak timber cage with crushed fruit or vegetables.
Assemble the 2 semi circular pressing plates and large iron nut on top of the fruit.
Twist the bar to screw down and the crushed fruit gets pressed.
The juice will flow out of the pressing cage and get collected in the base plate.
Base plate has a raised groove on it so juice can be easily poured into any receptacle.
Maintenance
The vigo spindle press doesn't require much maintenance. Simply wash clean after use with water and towel dry. Use food grade grease or oil to lubricate the non-food contact metal parts, this will inhibit corrosion. Store in a clean and dry place.
