Straining Bags For Vigo Fruit Presses

Qty:

In a nutshell....

Straining bags for use with fruit presses. The bags prevent lumps of fibrous fruit from ending up in your juice.

Bag Size

Fruit Press Straining Bags For Juice Making

Straining bag for 9 litre Spindle Fruit Press & 12 litre Cross Beam Fruit Press. They fit inside their respective presses so that juice can be strained as fruit is pressed. These bags are machine washable and have strong double stitched seams and re-inforced spindle hole. Especially good for seeded fruits, grapes and apple juice making.

How To Fit:

Place the hole in the bottom of the bag carefully over the spindle of the press. Push the bag into the press cage and ensure that the rim of the bag overlaps the cage. Pour the prepared fruit in. When full, fold the cloth over the fruit to make a parcel and lower the press plate.

Different Size Bags:

We stock these straining bags to fit both the Spindle Fruit Press (9L) and the Cross Beam Fruit Press (12L). Please choose the required bag using the 'Bag Size' tab above the 'Add To Cart' button. 1 Bag per pack.

I purchased these bags to use for a make of press other than Vigo and am delighted to say that they work almost perfectly. I would prefer if there was a larger size (my press is about 15-18 litre and the advertised bag size of 12 litre works although I can't wrap the bag over the top of the press when filling the bag with the mash, however with a bit of care in filling all works fine. The juice flows freely through the bag during pressing and no bits got through. The bags are easy to wash, they seem rot proof and I expect they will last for many seasons. Other than the size issue, I give these bags 10 out of 10.
