Description
This mounted 'scarer' device is intended to repel larger animals like dogs, cats, martens, foxes, squirrels or deer. It does so with an ultrasonic alarm and flash that will confuse or deter animals. The alarm and flash are triggered by PIR sensors.
Passive infrared sensors (PIR) work by detecting infrared light radiating from objects within their field of view. If you've seen the movie Predator or any of its sequels, you will have a good visual idea of how this works. This device features three PIR sensors, reacting to movement from all angles. The sensors cover a distance of 8m, and 360 degrees around.
Ultrasound covers frequencies from 10.5-60 kHz, in random intervals.
3 Pir sensors cover the area 360 degrees around and up to a distance of 8 m.
