Description
Armeria maritima or Sea Thrift is a common seaside plant seen growing wild on cliffs and seashores. The compact, evergreen perennial also makes a superb garden plant with it's attractive foliage, soft pink flowers and long flowering season.
Sea Thrift is very easy to grow and will tolerate shallow, poor soils provided they are well drained and in full sun. An ideal rockery plant that is also attarctive to bees and other pollinators. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
