A high-quality, winter-hardy leek with blue-green leaves. Produces heavy crops of solid white stems through the later, lean Winter period. This variety is exceptionally hardy and stands well in even the coldest winter.
Sow in March to late April, early April is ideal. Sow 5 or 6 seeds per cell in 4cm modular trays (Huw Richards trays are recommended), and plant out 8-10 weeks later without splitting up the seedlings.
Spacing:
Between rows: 45 cm
Between plants in the row: 30 cm (2 plants per station)
Plants are ready to harvest in March to May the following year.
