Description
A German heritage variety specially bred for sauerkraut production. Filderkraut is a pointed white cabbage that can grow very large (up to 8 kilos), it has soft green leaves with a high sugar content.
Filderkraut has a sweeter and less sulphury taste than other cabbage varieties, and is ideal for coleslaws, sauerkraut or even eating raw. It's fairly easy to grow and reliable, with a long growing season and an autumn harvest.
