Description
Our Super-soil mix is a nutrient rich mix of compost, plant feed and soil to create a superbly well fed growing medium with a beautiful crumbly consistency.
Thanks to it's high nutrient content, this soil is ideal for growing vegetables, particulalry more demanding crops like members of the brassica family.
Super-soil mix is also perfect for growing in raised beds where a high yield is expected from a relatively small space.
Supersoil mix ingredients:
4kg seafeed
Seafeed is our own brand pelleted slow release plant feed. Seafeed is a mix of organic free range poultry manure whihcb is composted with seaweed meal to provide a natural feed that will supply nutrients for up to 90 days. The addition of the seaweed meal helps to boost plant immune systems and improves soil quality.
20% envirogrind
Envirogrind is a very high grade compost made by composting green and fish waste in large aerated bays. The finished product is extremely well broken down with very little woody material present. Envirogrind compost is the very best commercially produced compost and is used as a soil conditioner and slow release plant feed.
20% mushroom compost
Mushroom compost is the waste compost material left over from commercial mushroom farms. Mushroom compost is a compost base with added horse manure and gypsum which creates a slightly alkaline mix which helps to balance the pH our soil mix.
10% Horticultural sand
We add 10% coarse grit horticultural sand to our supersoil mix to help drainage and improve consistency.
50% Screened Topsoil
The heart of our supersoil mix is our screened high grade topsoil, we only use the best soils with low clay content. Our soil has also been screened to remove any large or medium sized stones.
If you have ordered a variety of soil mixes please note that the following letters will denote what is in the Bulk bag:
V – Vegetable soil mix, C – Container mix, M – Mushroom Compost, S – Super soil mix, G – Greenhouse mix, T – Topsoil, L – Lawn mix, B – Bark mulch
Delivery is Kerbside delivery. We don't guarantee the bag can be left within the boundry of your property. If we can't access your driveway the bag will be left at the closest point possible.
The soil is delivered in cubic metre bags placed on a wooden pallet. The soil can only go as close to your site as the hand operated pallet truck allows.The truck is not equipped with a grab so bags cannot be lifted over walls or hedges.
While the delivery driver will do his best to get the bag as close as he can to your property he is unable to move the bag over kerbs, up an incline or on loose gravel surfaces. Remember the bag is a tonne weight and once off the truck is moved by the effort of the driver alone.

IMPORTANT: If you refuse delivery becuase of an access issue to your property which we have not been made aware of beforehand, your order will be refunded less a €55.00 collection charge per bulk bag. Please read the above delivery info carefully to avoid any misunderstanding.
