Description
Tulip 'National Velvet' is a rich, moody, maroon red described by Sarah Raven as 'glossy as a racehorse'. The deep claret colour of the petals softens to red towards the edges while the near black midribs give extra depth and definition. Pairs really well with softer pinks, dusky apricots and plum shades.
