Description
One of the longest stemmed varieties, Bulgarian Giant is a popular North European leek which is long, thin and fast maturing. Shanks are top quality with light green leaves and great flavour. For Late summer/autumn cropping until the beginning of winter, dislikes frost.

Sow from Feb (undercover) to early April (recommended).
Germination temp: 18-20˚C.
Germination time: 7 to 14 days.
Sowing depth: 0.5cm
Spacing 30cm between groups of 4 seedlings.
Grow in full sun in fertile, moisture retentive soil.
