Description
Introduced in 1979, Premiere potatoes have become a favourite among growers and chefs alike for their yellow skin, creamy yellow flesh, and exceptional flavour. These high yielding tubers are perfect for early harvesting, offering medium yields, early bulking, and high dry matter. Ideal for chips and other culinary uses.
Key Features
- Premiere potatoes stand out for their excellent resistance to blight, common scab, powdery scab, spraing, and the Potato Cyst Nematode.
- Perfect for boiling, baking, chipping, steaming, and as a salad potato, they offer versatility for a variety of dishes.
- Their waxy, creamy-textured flesh delivers a delicious flavour, ideal for chips, roasties, mash, or steamed side dishes.
Growing Instructions
- Place seed potatoes in a light, cool area and protect them from frost to encourage sprouting.
- Once frost risk has passed, plant 10-12cm deep in shallow ridges. Space 20-22cm apart in rows with 60cm between rows.
- When plants reach 20cm tall, earth them up to boost yields.
